The brilliant Nervie's Last is the pick of the handicap and Kewpie's' Triumph may bo best of the others. Favouritism may rest between CROCUS-NER VIE'S LAST-KING'S WARRIOR Bracket, COMPASS-KENWORTHY Bracket OUR PEGGY. FINAL TRAINING USEFUL WORK PERFORMED GREAT CHUM AND ARGOLIS BY ABAYDOS Although the dirt track at Epsom was in excellent order yesterday, there was no fast hoppled work and most of the horses used the sand, which provided easier going. '-Reception (W. J. Wheeler) and Roman Chief (A. J. Forbes) were sent a useful mile and a-half, with a sharp finishing sprint. Reception trotted solidly and has never looked brighter. Although he was free-legged, Roman Chief shaped well and has developed into a good type. Great Chum tR. August) worked a mile at the trotting gait and Argolis (S. M. August) spriited a couple of quarters with dash. They were then sent two miles and finished on terms after covering the last mile in 2.29. Great Chum is well forward for his engagement to-day. Argolis, who has not raced for some time, is to contest the Insulation Handicap on Monday. Lucky Love (I). Cook) was never at top while going a mile and threequarters, but he displayed a lot of dash in the first two and last three furlongs. He has gone on the right way since winning the unhoppled race at the matinee meeting. Nelson Pearl Shows Dash Nelson Pearl (S. M. August) sprinted the last few furlongs of a mile and a-quarter with dash. She has furnished into a neat filly and is making steady progress. Shirley's Pal (H. Ryland) trotted two laps solidly and was running on at the end. She bears a healthy appearance and may race well. Harold Logan (P. Campbell) was given strong work with Glorietta on the lead, and they were accompanied by Effie Parrish (B. Flood). All are in good order. J. A. Gerrard restricted All Bingen, Acceleration and Bingen Chimes to steady work. The last-named is a sturdy little chap who gives the impression he will trot solidly. All Bingen, a useful mare, is engaged in the Green Lane Handicap on Monday. Young Rodney (L. Laver) trotted two miles without mistake, hitting out freely over the last half-mile. He is not lacking in condition, but has not been trotting solidly on the hard tracks. Arapai Trots Solidly Great Sonoma (C. M. Morrison) showed speed in a couple of sharp sprints and is very forward. If he can keep to the correct 1 gait, lie should take some beating in the Mountain Handicap.

Equipoise (S. M. August) was not hurried over two miles. He has furnished nicely and is in great heart, and, providing he goes away reasonably well, should be very dangerous in the Parnell Handicap. Arapai (B. Liddall) trotted two miles solidly. He derived benefit from racing at Wellington and on a firm track is not without prospects. Liddall worked Golden Star free-legged in saddle and she revelled in sound work. Vanora (L. J. Mahoney) and Tommy McKlwvn (.1. Peters) wero allotted a strong mile and a-half, but did not put much energy into the work. It is in favour of both Vanora and Tommy McKlwvn that they are much better racing propositions than track work indicates.

Stargum (W. Head) sprinted sharply over three furlongs and Pirate's Last, Post Haste* and Gay Moko were given strong tasks over two inilcw.
