TURF JOTTINGS TRACK AND STABLE GOSSIP Marheke, who has been on the easy list since racing at Avondale has resumed work at Kllerslie. The full-sinter to Martara is being given every opportunity and is developing into a fine type. The consistent mare Alyth has recovered from the that prevented her from racing at Ellerslie and present intentions are that she will fulfil her engagement at Cambridge on Labour Day. H. I'ama's pair, Tooley Street and Miss Appellant, who arrived from M.-l-bounre during the week, were amima those at Kllerslie yesterday morning. Both look in first-class order and should be ready at an earlv date. A recent addition to \V. Kemp's team is the five-year-old Spear DanceAcushla mare, hove in Idleness, who was formerly trained at Avondale. Possessing plenty of size she will probably lie put to hurdling in the future, as slu has shown jumping ability

Now under the charge of H. Nesbit, the Acre-Clover Leaf mare. Pasture, is thriving and is coming to hand in fine style Although a non-winner. Pasture is a speedy galloper at her best and would only need to go on the right way to make her presence felt in novice company.

Looking none the worse after her Sydney racing. Stretto appeared on the track at Kllerslie on Thursday and norformi'd liirlit work on the tan. She is to have her preparation continued with a view to contesting the King's Plate and the Clifford Plate at the Auckland Pacing Club's Summer Meeting. Glenora Boy (Lord Warden —Full Swing), who accompanied Stretto from Sydney, is being sent out for a spell for several months.

The two-vear-old Konneta. who leaves for Trentham to-day to fulfil her engagement in the Welleslev Stakes next Thursday, galloped half-a-mile on the No. 2 grass track at Ellerslie yesterday morning. Midden by B. Markwick. she was accompanied by Fidelia (Messervv) and they ran the distance in 19 1-5. Konneta began very smartly and was clear of her companion in the early stages, but at the finish there was little between them. The Buland-, shar filly has gone on the right way since her Welcome Stakes run.
