GIRL GUIDE WORK
ANNUAL MEETING CITY WEST DISTRICT A summary of the detailed reports sent in by each company and pack was given by the District Commissioner, Miss H. M. Whittaker, at the annual meeting of the City West Girl' Guides, held last week. The' Guiders of the district and the members of the local association were among those present. The reports showed that the district had progressed steadily and that the number of badges earned had increased, thus indicating that the Guides and Brownies were taking a practical interest. in their work, Nearly all the Guiders held warrants. The Commissioner thanked them, also the badge committee.members and the district secretary, Miss E. Carter, for their unfailing support' and interest. i An interesting demonstration of bandaging work was given by, the Airedale Guides, and Miss Anita Webster gave a talk about her travels in central Europe. Supper was served by the leaders of the Airedale Guides and Guiders of the district.
