SOCIAL EVENING

PHILISTINES' CLUB EXCELLENT PROGRAMME SKETCHES AND MUSICAL ITEMS Members of the Philistines' Club spent an enjoyable evening on Saturday, when an excellent programme was presented. Taking part in a sketch, written and produced by Mr. J. A. S. Coppard, were Mrs. G. Watkins, Mr. .0. Beebe, IWr. T. G. O'Neill, Mr. J. W. Cox, Mr. G. O'Sullivnn and Mr. Coppard. Tlie musical items comprised solos and duets sung by Miss Winifred Clements and Mr. Philip Jay, and 'cello solos, played by Miss Juno Taylor. Mrs. Reginald Reed, was the accompanist. Tap dances were given by Miss Joan Morris and Miss Rouletta Sullivan, and n sketch by Miss Nancy Warren. Mr. W. H. V. Taine was chairman.
