ALLEGED PENDING INCREASE MINISTER'S FIRM * DENIAL [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION*]. CHRISTCHTTRCH, Friday " My attention lias been drawn to a statement made by Mr. W. J. Mead, National candidate for Dunedin Centra] , in which he states that the Labour Government has entered into an agreement with the Master Bakers' Association by which the price of bread is going to be increased, qne of the terms being that the decision shall not be disclosed until after the election," said the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, to-day. " This is a false attack upon the Government and absolutely without foundation," added the Minister " The Government has not considered any suggested increase in the price of bread.
