COURSE RECORD BROKEN [BY TKI.KOItAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] WAIHI, Friday The annual steeplechase of the Waihi Hi:ih School was held over a course of three miles. Following were the results:—Senior: J. Harvey (1m 50s), I; A. O'Neil (»cr), *2; R. Hovell (2m). O'Neil covered the distance in the fastest time. 15m His, breaking the record established by O. Dare, the Auckland long distance runner, by 7s. Intermediate: S. Brown dim), 1; R. Broadfoot (scr), 2; W. Cropp (2m Ids), 3. Broadfoot returned fastest time, Hint Ills. Junior: L. Smith (Ini il.is), i; R. Blake, (1m 355), 2; A. Worth dm -Ms). 3. L. Smith registered fastest lime. Mini 13s. The house points were:—Tainui. 2-1: Arawa, -40. EVENT AT PUKEKOHE [from our owx correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Friday The annual steeplechase of the Pnkekohe Technical High School was held to-day over a distance of approximately two miles. The results were:—(J Day (3m) and K. Landon (3m), Mm 355, dead-heat. 1; K. Falconer (2m), 13m 30s, 3. Fastest time was recorded by I. Swetman (scr) with 12tn 355. J. Hart (scr), 12m 555, and C. Topp (lni). 13m 10s, recorded second and third fastest times respectively.
