When John Charles Dennis, committed I'roin New Plymouth, appeared lor sentence before Mr. Justice Fair iu the Supreme Court yesterday, His Honor said lie had not yet received tlie probation ollicer's report on the prisoner's character. Ho, therefore, remanded Dermis for a fortnight. The prisoner, who was represented by Mr. ►S. C. Clarke, had pleaded guilty to charges of attempting an unnatural offence aud of indecently assaulting a maie.
