FALL ON A STAKE

CHILD'S PAINFUL MISHAP A painful injury was suffored by a three-year-old child, Shirley May Whitford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Whitford, of Wharf Road, To Atatu, yesterday afternoon. While playing in tho garden of her homo the child fell on to a stake, which entered her mouth and inflicted a wound in tho throat, She was brought to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. Her condition last night was reported to be not serious.
