SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST FINE WITH VARIABLE WINDS The Government meteorologist issued to the Hf.raj.d last evening the following special forecast for the Province: —Light to moderate afid variable winds, with south-easterlfes predominating. The weather is likclv to be fair to finp, with moderate temperatures. Seas slight to moderate. YESTERDAY'S WEATHER Auckland. —Fine weather, with a light and variable wind was experienced yesterday. The maximum temperature was 63 degrees and the minimum 50 degrees. Barometric presuro was fairly steady. Barometer, midnight, steady .. 30.23 in Midnight, Monday .. 30.14 in! Wellington.—There wa.s a shower in the morning, but otherwise the weather was fair to fine, with a lightsoutheast breeze. The maximum temperature was 56.6 degrees. At 3 p.m. the barometer read 30.190 in. * Christchureh. —Thi day was fine, with intermittent sunshine and a cold! fresh easterly wind. The maximum temperature was 52.8 degrees. The barometer at 5 p.m. was falling slowly at 30.18 in. Dunedin.—The sun shone from a cloudless sky, but there was a keen north-east breeze, which kept the maximum temperature down -to 56 degrees.
