A sensational and unexpected set of circumstances having made it necessary for another match to decide the issue between these 'two popular mat men. The bout will be staged at tho Auckland Town Ilall next Tuesday night and, in view of (he experience of their being unable to gain admission tho first time the men met in the local ring, intending patrons will be well advised to mako their reservations as early as possible. It was thought that the controversial issue as to which is the better wrestler of the pair would have been settled at Wellington on Monday last, but a remarkable incident resulted in a verdict of "no contest." The men had scored a fall each by the start of (he last round, and both men were putting all they had into their efforts to clinch the issue when the referee was hit by one of -Detton's flying tackles while standing on the edge of the ring staging, and was incapacitated. The police stepped in and separated the contestants, but, ns the referee was unable to officiate further, it was impossible for the bout to reach a conclusion. The bout itself was even more keenly contested than the one which roused a record Auckland crowd to a high pitch of enthusiasm, and it became more apparent than ever that Detton and Blomfield are so well matched thai anything is liable to happen whenever they meet. The only certainty is that wrestling of the most strenuous and exciting kind will bo seen.
