GENERALLY FAIR COOL WITH SOME FROSTS Tho weather report and forecast fo* New Zealand issued by the Government meteorologist last evening were as fol lows:—Pressure is very uniform and rather high over Isew Zealand. Condi tions are slightly disturbed to the ' north, however, and there has been a fall of pressure over south-eastern Australia. The forecast is for light and variable winds at first, easterlies prevailing in the Auckland Province and later northerlies elsewhere. Seas slight generally, but rising somewhat north of East .Cape and in tho far south Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate winds, south-easterlies predominating in the northern portion and nortt westerlies in the southern; seas slight to moderate, but rising in the southern portion. The weather for the most part is likely to bo fair, but isolated rains probable in the Auckland Province and in the far south-west and south. Cool night temperatures with .some frosta but milder to-morrow. ' SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST CLOUDY WITH lUIN The Government meteorologist issued to the Herald last evening tho fol. lowing special forecast for the Auckland Province:—Light to moderate winds, with easterlies predominating. The weather is likely to be mainly fair to cloudy, but some scattered rains probable, more especially in the north. Temperatures moderate. Seas slight' but rising somewhat on the east coast! YESTERDAY'S WEATHER I Auckland.—Dull but fine weather I with a light and variable wind was ex- ! perienccd. The maximum temperature | was 60 degrees and the minimum 49 degrees.
