CLASSIC CLUB

TENTH MEETING A programino of "nature music" was presented at the Classic Club's 10th meeting of the present season, held in the Overseas League rooms on Tuesday evening. A short talk on "Illustration in Music" was given by the president, Dr. S. Kenneth Phillips, who described the various methods used by composers in giving pictorial effects to their come positions. Members who contributed items were: —Miss Thora Davidson, Miss Olive Ball, Miss Kay Christie and Mr. Jamos Ramsay, who sang; and Mrs. Maud Lysaght and Mrs. Sholto Smith, who played pianoforte solos. The accompanists were Airs. Lysaght, Mr. Alan row and Dr. S. K. Phillips.
