MAJOR PETER J. WAYNE

Following a seizure while attending a function at the Catholic Women's Club rooms in the City last night Major Peter Jenkin Wayne, aged 72, coliapsed and died while being taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. •Major Wayne, a married man ■with an adult family, lived in St. Leonard's Road, Mount Eden. Formerly a wellknown farmer at Waimate, South Canterbury, Major Wayne went to Sydney some years ago and more recently settled in Auckland. He was a promim? ent sportsman in the South Island.
