NORTHCOTE METHODISTS
SOCIAL AFTERNOON CIRCUIT FUNDS BENEFIT The ladies of the Northcotc Methodist Church held a successful social afternoon last. week. The school hall was beautifully decorated with arum lilies. Iceland poppies, irises and festoons of clematis. A large number of frionds, many from distant suburbs, attended and the excellence of the programme made the gathering an enjoyable one. Mrs. J. W. Court presided and welcomed the guests. The ladies of tlm Church provided afternoon tea. Assisting with items were Mrs. Clarice Sharp, who played a pianoforte solo and later with Mrs. Grcvillc Perrett, presented an amusing sketch; Mrs. le Pettit, who told humorous stories and sang several songs; All's. \\ . J. Court, of Whangarei, who sang a number of solos, and' Miss Betty Birch who recited. Many friends who were unable to bo present sent their contributions. The circuit funds benefited to the extent of £2O 13s.
