BLAZING PETROL
GIRL'S TERRIBLE END At the inquest in Salisbury, Wiltshire, on a 10-ycar-ohl girl who was fatally burned during an attempt to destroy a wasps' nest with petrol, a farmer's son, Henry Pon, who undertook tho task, was told that ho should have used more care. "Accidental death" was tho verdict on Barbara Rose Portsmouth, of Middle Wallop. It was stated that petrol which was poured into tho nest flared up. '1 ho can caught fire, and as it was thrown away some of tho burning spirit set (iro to the girl. She ran away, and in passing her baby brother set fire to his hair. Tho mother beat out the fire on the boy's head and afterwards managed to extinguish the flames surrounding tho girl.
