WOMEN'S GROUP BRANCH MEETINGS A largely-attended meeting of interested women was present at the Mount Albert branch of the women's group of the Labour Party, held this week, ilrs. Martin presided. The speaker was Mr. F. Martin, who gave a comprehensive and instructive address on "Social Development." He was accorded a vote of thanks.

AVONDALE BRANCH The first meeting of the Avondale branch of the women's group of the Labour Party was held in the Labour Party room, Avondale, on Wednesday afternoon. About 75 women were present. The president of the New Lynn branch of the Labour Party, ilrs. Lovegrove, gave an address on social questions.
