ATLANTIC AIRWAYS

NEW GERMAN MACHINE £REAT SPEED AND RANGE BERLIN, Sept. 2 The latest development in the experiments carried out to ascertain the most suitable typo of aircraft for transAtlantic passenger services is a new Dornier flying-boat. It will have a speed of 207 miles an hour, and a range of 7380 miles.

The craft will bo fitted with four Junkers-Juno Diesel engines, with two tractor and two pusher propellers. The wing span will be 98 feet, and the length of the machine 80 feet. It will carry a load of 10 tons. The floats will be retractable into the wings—a new feature. The fuel will be stored .in the hull near the centre of gravity. The new Dornier will be flown to America in October.
