EPSOM SCHOOL
NEW HEADMASTER ' MR. T. N. HEWLETT APPOINTED TIIO appointment of Mr. T. N. Hewlett as headmaster of the Epsom School was confirmed by the Auckland Education Board yesterday. Mr. Hewlett has had more than 30 years experience in the teaching profession, having been employed first under the Nelson Board. He later came to the North Island and taught at Mapui, in the King Country, until his enlistment at the outbreak of the Great War, id which he served throughout. After the war, Mr. Hewlett studied at Auckland University College, taking his B.A. degree. He was for Vi years first assistant at the Belmont School, and in 1932 he was appointed headmaster at the Ngatea District Hip School. Mr. Hewlett began his duties at Epsom at the beginning of the present term. .
