CANBERRA FIXTURE PROGRAMME PREPARED [from our own correspondent] ' " CANBERRA. Sept. 2 Receptions, garden parties and special excursions are being planned as highlights for the Jubilee Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science, which will meet in Canberra from January 11 to 18, 1939. The programme of meetings and lectures will extend over eight days and cover a wide range of subjects, including astronomy, chemistry, geology, zoology, history, anthropology, economics, social science, engineering, architecture, medical science, education, agriculture, forestry, veterinary science, botany, physiology, pharmaceutical science, and geography. Present indications point to' attendances of "about 700 members for the conference.
