ANNUAL MEETINGS HELD BAY CfF PLENTY OFFICERS Tournaments, intcr-club matches and visits from players of skill were undoubtedly largoly responsible for the improved standard of play, said the secretary of tlio Bay of Plenty Lawn Tennis Sub-Association at the annual meeting. Mr. Steedman also cominentcd on the satisfactory position disclosed in the balance-sheet.
The East v. West fixture would again bo played this season and return games with Thames Valley and Waikato were recommended to bo arranged. It was recommended that the association should again' bo represented at the country teams tournament in Auckland.
The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. K. D. Page; vice-president, Mr. H. Louden; member of committee, Mr. J. A. Stcnhouse; honorary secretary-treasurer, Mr. C. J. Steedman; honorary auditor, Mr. G. J. .Tarvis; delegates to Auckland Lawn Tennis Association, Messrs. S. Lamb, E. W. Griffiths. A. M. Spooner.
ELECTION AT THREE KINGS There was ;i Rood attendance at tho annual meeting of the Three Kings Tennis Club. Mr. E. L. Adams presided. Tho roport, and balancesheet revealed record progress and a sound financial position. The opening day was sot down for October 1. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. E. L. Adams; Vice-presidents, Messrs. C. M. McCullotigh, J. Donald, L. Partridge, L. Blucher, P. B lewd en; hon. secretary, Miss N. M. Carran; hon. treasurer, Mr. 0. J?. Arkoll; club captain, Mr. H. N.
