ITALIAN_ACTION FURTHER DECREES BANNED AS TEACHERS DRASTIC REGULATIONS By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received September 4, 5.5 p.m.) ROME, Sept. 3 The Italian Cabinet has decreed Jurther anti-Jewish legislation. Jews "will not be permitted to teach in universities, schools or privately, and Jewish children will no longer be admitted to State schools, but university students who have almost completed, their studies will be allowed-to finish them.
Forty-five Jewish professors at Florence and 17 at the Milan University, aro among numbers throughout Italy who liavo been dismissed. An official report issued by tho Cabinet states that a decision will bo made at its next meeting in regard ;to tho entire position of Jews in Italy from tho Fascist point of view.
The decree against Jewish scholars Applies both to foreign and domestic Bcholars and will bo effective on the reopening after tho summer holidays. It affects 20,000 in secondary schools and universities. It has also been decreed that courses in Arabic are to bo started in tho high schools to meet tho exigencies of tho ■Empiro.
