DOGS POISONED
LOSSES AT NEW PLYMOUTH INVESTIGATIONS BY POLICE [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday Several dogs, one a pedigree valued at £SO, have been poisoned at New Plymouth by strychnine, believed to liavo been administered deliberately. The police are investigating.
The heaviest loser is a breeder of pedigree collies. Tho poisoned animal, valued at £SO, was to have given birth to a litter of pups. Offers of £lO each had already been received for two of them. The owner believes tho poison must have been thrown into tho enclosure wheif the dogs are kept, for he was with them whenever they were let out.
