PROBLEM OF LAUNCHING EXPERIMENTS WITH MODEL (Received September 2, 5.5 p.m.) British "Wireless RUGBY, Sept. 1 Arrangements have been practically completed for the launching on the Clyde on September 27 by the Queen of the sister ship to the Queen Mary, which Her Majesty will christen Queen Elizabeth. Plans for the launching of this immense vessel have necessitated the most careful thought, but complete confidence is expressed in the arrangements made, for which important data has been made available as a result of study of the film of the launching of her sister ship, and of experiments conducted in a tank with a model weighing about a ton.
