BRITISH UNDERTAKING POSSIBILITY MENTIONED BASE AT SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE TO AUSTRALIA By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received August 26, 5.5 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, August 25 The utilities manager for the city of San Francisco, Mr. Edward Cahill, informed the correspondent of the Australian Associated Press that there is a distinct possibility that Imperial Airways will establish a service between San Francisco and Australia. Pan American Airways,have leased the use of the airport facilities at Treasure Island, in San Francisco Harbour. Mr. Cahill explained that Pan American Airways would use only one hangar, leaving the other available for Imperial Airways. He declined to give further details and added that negotiations were not yet completed.
