Callaghan, who now required a licence. Allegations were made that Mr. Walker, the previous contractor, yra3 unsatisfactory, while evidence was also given concerning the abnormal difficulties encountered through the Kaukokore and Kerau Rivers changing [their courses. Mr. Phelan said that figures showing ftHe full-amounts obtained from factory cartage and also running costs had to be submitted, and if the price was uneconomic the authority would not grant jfche licence.
