WED EIGHT MONTHS AGO Tho best-kept secret in film history belongs to Britain's Margaret Lockwood. Eight months ago she was married. Not even her mother knew. Only recently did the secret como out, after Margaret Lock wood with her husband in tow, had been flat-hunting. Her husband is a business man, Rupert Leon, well known in the city. Their story is as romantic as anything presented on tho screen. After the proposal Margaret consented to be wed at once—provided tho marriage «Ms not announced until a certain film was finished. That was agreed. Then one morning eight months ago, at Epsom registry office, she became Mrs. Leon. Next day Margaret was back at thp studio—and for once a Beeret film romance remained secret. A few days ago tho film was finished. Margaret and her husband left England for a deferred honeymoon, "somewhere in tho south of France." Margaret, who is 21, slim and darkeyed, has climbed rapidly to stardom. At 18 she was chosen to play opposite Maurice Chevalier in tho film version of W. J. Locke's "Beloved Vagabond." Then came roles with Georgo Arliss in "Doctor Syn" and Will Fyffe in "Owd Bob." After her three week's honeymoon she will return to play in "JLtob lloy."
