OPTIMISTS' CLUB ADDRESS An address on the aims of the National Council of Physical Welfare and Recreation was given by Miss A. "Sport is only one of the agencies to be used to attain tho objects of the council," said Miss Kennedy, "and the council is not a means for moulding young men for military service. Miss Kennedy mentioned that among those things considered by tho council have been tho establishment of district committees, a survey of existing facilities, tho establishment of a training centre for leaders in physical education and the holding of a national "health week" to arouse a moro general interest in tho movement. A vote of thanks to tho speaker was passed at the conclusion of her addross.
