BACKBLOCK TRIPLETS

PROPER FACILITIES LACKING NEED FOR SPECIAL TREATMENT [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION], - GISBORNE, Tuesday Triplets born to Mr. and Mrs. Mohi Gerrard, Maori settlers living in an isolated part of the East Coast, will have to receive special treatment, preferably at a Karitane home, to survive, in the opinion of the district nurse. The home is so isolated that it is difficult to arrange for proper medical attention and facilities for the rearing of the babies, who are now under the care of the Waiapu Hospital Board. The Tairawhiti Maori Land Board has granted a substantial sum, which will be used in outfitting the babies if they are sent to a Karitane home.
