HEALTH IMPKOYED AUCKLAND HOSPITALITY OFFERS OF ACCOMMODATION MR. SAVAGE'S APPRECIATION Offers from complete strangers in Auckland of room in their houses while he is recuperating from the indisposition which he suffered at the weekend were received yesterday by the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage. A further improvement in Mr.. Savage's health was reported yesterday, and his doctor, after a further examination, expressed himself so well satisfied with his regovery that the Prime Minister is to be allowed to leave his bed for a period to-day. He will remain in Auckland until the week-end. Although unable to accept the offers made liim of a comfortable room and whatever special nursing might be required, Mr. Savage was none the less grateful for them. He also appreciated the flowers with which his bedroom at the Hotel Cargen are filled, and the messages, totalling several hundreds, received by telegram and telephone, as .well as through personal calls at the hotel yesterday. The Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, called on Mr. Savage yesterday. Cheers greeted an announcement bj r the Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb, to freezing workers at "Westfield yesterday of the improvement in Mr. Savage's health. Mr. Webb said later that while at Westfield he had had numerous inquiries concerning Mr. Savage, and when he informed the men that the Prime Minister was now in excellent health, three cheers were given. The men also asked that Mr. Savage should be informed of their good wishes, and the message was conveyed by Mr. Webb. Mr. Webb added that Mr. Savage was grateful for the message and for the news that the men had decided to return to work.

HOSPITAL BOARD'S WISHES HOPES FOR SPEEDY RECOVERY Best wishes for a speedy recovery from indisposition were extended to the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, in a resolution passed by the Auckland Hospital Board last night. It was pointed out by Dr. J. P. Hastings and Dr. Hilda Northcroft that Mr. Savage was an old and honoured member of tho board, and it was hoped both by the board and the staff that he would soon be restored to health.
