ST. GEORGE'S CLUB THE ELECTION OF . OFFICERS An excess of income over expenditure amounting to £47 10s «d is disclosed in the report and balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the St. George's Rowing Club last night. The bank overdraft was considerably reduced and stands at £ll lSs 10J. The membership showed a slight decrease. The club plant was increased with the addition of a set of six rowing oars. Before the close of last season the executive placed an order in Melbourne for a new clinker fouroared racing boat, which is due to arrive in Auckland in November. A new plant fund commenced at the beginning of the season stands at £lO lis 4d. This _amount was subscribed after an appeal to old members and supporters. It is the object of the club to purchase a new eight-oared boat. Tlio club was well represented at the regattas held in the Auckland Province. Two wins were secured and only two crews finished further back than fourth pllace. The following officers were elected:—President, Rev. Canon R. G. Coats; vice-president, Mr. J. S. ELECTION AT WAITEMATA The annual meeting of the Waitemata Boating Club, held last night, was attended by a large number of members, both past and present. The vice-commodore, Mr. G. H.
