BRISK SEASON AHEAD EIGHT CRUISE LINERS ENGLISH PARTY'S VISIT [bv tklkgraph—prkss association] "WELLIX(!TON, Monday Indications are that New Zealand will experience a brisk tourist traffic rhirinn the coming summer. Already plans have been laid lor several lart;o parties of Australian and English visitors to travel in the Dominion, while dates far the visits of eight pleasure cruise liners from Australia have been received by the Government Tourist Bureau. . . About 50 Australians will visit the Dominion in January as members of a Victorian Scottish sightseeing party. In February some U0 South Australian farmers will arrive. Another large group is likely to visit New Zealand to reciprocate a projected trip early in the new year of a number of New Zealand primary and secondary producers and business men to inspect the resources of the Commonwealth. A party of English workers on an educational tour will reach the Dominion in March. The tour has been arranged by the British \\ orkers Travel Association through the Australian and New Zealand Government tourist agencies. The travellers will arrive in the Dominion on March 20 and will sail again from Auckland early in April, after visiting both islands. So far no word has been received of anv visits to be paid by luxury liners on world cruises. However, the usual round trips from Australia will be made by JP. and 0. and Orient Line cruise ships. Each of the eight which are expected will bring from 800 to 1000 tourists, many of whom will make overland trips through the North Island. No South Island calls are mentioned in the itineraries of tho ships.
