PORT OF AUCKLAND TASMAN THIS AFTERNOON On her first visit to New Zealand in the South Pacific Line's service the passenger steamer Tasmnn will arrive early this afternoon from Saigon, French Indo-Cliina, via Singapore, the Dutch East Indies and Norfolk Island. The Tasnian, which has more than 80 passengers, will berth at Queen s Wharf and sail at noon on Saturday for Wellington, Sydney and the East. The "Union Company's motor-ship Waiana, at Prince's Wharf, is expected to sail tomorrow for Wellington and the South. Delaved by rain at Westport the Union Company's steamer Ivartigi is now expected to leave to-day for Auckland, arriving hero on Sunday. Wireless advice from the Union Company's steamer Kairanga states that she expects to arrive here from Sydney on Saturday afternoon. The Union Company's steamer Gabriella arrived yesterday afternoon from Oreymmith and berthed at Kings Wharf. After discharge "she will leave for Portland and Sydney. The Westport Coal Company's steamer Canopus arrived early yesterday morning from Westport. She will move this morning from Western Wharf to King s Wharf and sail this evening for Westport. TAMAROA FOR AUCKLAND The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tama, roa left Southampton on Friday afternoon for Auckland, where she is due on September 9. THE WANGANELLA The Huddart-Parker motor-liner Wanganella will leave Sydney on Saturday for Ancleland, arriving here on Wednesday and sailing on her return on August 20. ** THE NAPIER STAR Cabled advice has been received that the Blue Star steamer Napier left Lourenco Marques on Monday for Wellington, where she is due on September 4 to begin loading homeward. AWAHOU AND PUKEKO -The Richardson Line motor-ship Awahou arrived yesterday from the East Coast and the Pukeko is expected from the East Coast earlv this morning. They will sail from Central Wharf on their return to-night. THE MATAI The Government lighthouse steamer Matai is expected to leave Wellington this morning for northern lights. She will call at Auckland on her visits, which will occupy about five weeks. ESSEX TO COMPLETE Arriving early this morning from Wellington, the Federal Line motor-ship Essex will berth at Central Wharf to complete loading for Southampton and London. She will sail finally, via Cape Horn, on Tuesday. PORT ALMA FOR OPUA The Port Line motor-ship Port Alma is now expected to leave New Plymouth at five o'clock to-morrow afternoon for Opua, where she is due on Saturday to continue loading for London and West Coast ports of Britain The Port Alma is expected at Auckland from Opua on Monday THE JAMES STOVE The Norwegian mot-or-tanker James Stove, discharging oil from Balik Papan for the Shell Company, is expected to leave Wellington this morning for Auckland. She will arrive on Saturday and berth at Western Wharf. RUAHINE AT SUVA The „ New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rnahine, en route from London to Wellington, reached Suva yesterday afternoon. She is due at Wellington, to land passengers only, on August 19 and she will discharge cargo at Dunedin, Lyttelton, Bluff and Napier. THE LINER TAINUI The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui, which reached Wellington yesterday afternoon from Timaru, is expected to leave on Saturday for Auckland. The Tainui will arrive here on Monday and sail at 5 p.m. on August 19 for Southampton. London, Hull and New-castle-on-Tyne. via Panama and Kingston.
