Mr. Stronach Paterson returned to Wellington by air yesterday. Mr. S. Austin Carr returned from the South yesterday by the limited express. Mr. F. W. Schramm, M.P., was a passenger for Wellington by the express last night. Flying-Officer"ls. B. Waters, of Wia. ram," Christchurch, arrived in Auckland from the South yesterday by the limited express. Mr. H. C. Co.ich, district traffic manager of railways at Auckland, left for Wellington last night by the limited express. Mr. T. U. Wells, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, was a passenger for the South by the limited express last night. Mr. J. B. Johnston was elected to the position of vice-chairman by the Metropolitan t Executive of the Auck-< 1 land Provincial Centennial Council at its meeting last night. Professor F. G. Swinstead. who-has been conducting examinations for the Associated the Royal Schools of Music in the Auckland district, left by train for Wellington last night. Mr. K. A. Lackey, of Wellington, who has been assistant general manager of Bonnie S. Cohen (New Zealand), Limited, for the past six years has been promoted manager of' the firm's Auckland branch.
