BAFFLES AT HILLCREST

STRONG IN CLASSIC BLOOD The imported stallion, Baffles, is to have his second season at the Hillcrest stud, Hamilton. This bay horse of commanding appearance is by Blandford and a half-brother to Manna, Two Thousand Guineas and Derby and to Sandwich, winner of the St. -Leger aud himself gaining a big reputation in England as a progenitor. Tlfe value of Blandford stock is becoming increasingly evident and backing it in the pedigree of Baffles are stout lines brought by his dam Waffles. Waffles, by Buckwheat, produced the winners of ithreo of the great classics in six years and assured a name for herself in the annals of the Turf. Perhaps Baffles will bring her further fame in this country. As a thoroughbred of robust -constitution he has every prospect of doing so.
