MOTHERS' UNION
BIRKENHEAD MEETING A service was conducted by tho vicar of Birkenhead, tho Rev, P. C. Davis, at All Saints Church, Birkenhead, nrior to the meeting of the locai Mothers' I'nion in tho parish hall. Tho large gathering was welcomed by the president, Mrs. Davis, who presented a reading lamp to tho lat«j secretary, Mrs. R. Norton, and expressed appreciation of her work for the organisation. An address on "Womanhood" was given by tho Rev. P. Houghton. Afternoon tea was served under the supervision of the hostesses, Mrs. J. Ross and Mrs. A. Wavne.
