CASUALTIES MOUNTING SURRENDER OF AUTHOR BOOK THAT CAUSED TROUBLE RANGOON. July 31 Further rioting in eight districts in Burma has brought tlio casualties to 67 killed and 420 injured. The King's Royal Rifles, from Maymyo, arrived at Mandalay and are guarding the market and pagoda areas. Shwe Hpi, niahommedan author of the book which led to the rioting, has surrendered to the police. The book was offensive to the Buddhist religion.
