CINDEKS TEACK USED EFFORTS BY NOBLE PRINCE STAR PRONTO PACES NICELY : KEWPIE'S CREST PLEASES BY- ABAYD&S A good deal 'of "useful work was ac-complished..-at" Epsom on Saturday, when, the horses., were- exercised on the cinders, owing to the dirt track being holding after heavy rain. , On the cinders, Noble Prince,- who I was worked twice", ran the last half each time in I.S 3-5. Star Pronto registered a similar effort. Kewpie's Triumph and Kewpie's Crest also went well. Munga Tangi and.-Fisher did best of those who used the sand.
Stargnm (W. Head)" went a mile and a-quarter in 3,7. Noble Prince (J. McKendriek) going after him after he had covered two furlongs. Noble Prince made, up liis ,leeway in the last half and finished solidly to complete the mile in . 2.23. Starguin was unhoppled and tired in the run home, Taken out later Noble Prince went a mile and a-half with Star Pronto (B I)yer) in 3.33 3-5, the first mile taking 2.25 and the .last Jialf 1.8 3-5. Star Pronto covered a good deal of ground.
Gipsy Light (G. C'ole) gave an unnamed lilJy by Jack Potts (K. Bell) a start of five seconds and beat her over a mile and a-quarter in 3.9. She could have improved on her 1.15 for the last halt. Gipsy Light is developing solidness. r •
Equipoise Goes Steadily Kewpie's Crest (J. Gee) went away, about four seconds- after Kewpie's Queen (W. Gee) from the mile and aj quarter, but finished resolutely to win in 3.6, running the last half in 1.10 3-5. Kewpie's Crest is in pood heart. Kewpie's Queen paced smoothly. - j Equipoise (T. Carlyon) was not extended -while going a mile and a-half with the' Truman Direct gelding (R. Bennett) at a little better than a 2.40 rate. Equipoise has grown into a nice colt. V . Bismuth (J, Taylor) worked two heats unhoppled over two milesi He is thriving on long, steady work. Bingen Sun (W. Willetts) covered the last mile and a-quarter of two miles in 3.16, time upon which he would have improved only for breaking three fur-' longs from home. He is building up nicely. Young Rodney Breaks " Gold Kip (C. M. Morrison) went steadily- over a mile -and a-half in 4.5., He has • benefited from a holiday and appears sound again. What promised to develop into a good duel between Great Sonoma (C. 11. Morrison) and Young Rodney (L.' Laver) in the closing stages of-a mile and a-half was marred when the latter ieft his feet. Great Sonoma recorded 3.53. Sweet Aloes (T. Carlyon) and a Nelson Tasker filly (R. Bennett) were together throughout a-mile and a-quarter, run at a sound pace.

Laver) finished more strongly at the end of a mile than Fisher (A. PatonV, who led him over the early stages. Munga Tangi revelled in the going. Fisher was unhoppled and went satisfactorily. Vanora (L. J. Mahoney) and Post Haste (.T. Mahonev)-, both unhoppled, set off for a mile and a-half, but the latter left his feet a couple of tunes, and Vanora was cased. Vanora is thriy-:;. ing on his'work. Post Haste was not:, liappv without the straps. "" : ' Forest.Jewel (L. Mitchell) maintained •• an even gait oyer a mile, and a-half.. sShe looks, very .bright. Great Surprise (L. Laver) was in 'lazymood while trotting a bttle more 'than a mile aiid a-half, although he - jquickened the pace for the last few jfurlongs. . < - 1 Lucky I.ove. .(W. Willetts) was ■allotted easy work in saddle, and Handijcapper (G.' H. Stubbs) was not overtaxed while going-two miles. Stubbs ■has reeommissioned Autumn Lou, who 'looks well for the spell. ■ 1 Auto Bingen (G. H, Phipps) and a 'Surprise Joirrney two-ysar-old (A. ißrown) paced steadily over a couple ;of rounds.- The Auto Machine colt hat 'done well during his spell.
