WAIHEKE ROAD BLOCKED

A largo fall of earth from a elilf about 10ft. high uprooted a pohutukawa tree and completely blocked traffic on tho main road between Surfdalo and Oneroa. on Thursday night. "\Vaiheke, in common with other parts of tho Auckland district, received some heavy falls of rain this week, this no doubt loosening the earth on the banks above tho road. Tho slip occurred about 200 yards from the Surfdale wharf and tho road was still closed yesterday morning.
