Mrs. J. C. Allan, Shortland Flats, is visiting Dunedin. Mrs. H. W. Bedell, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. W. Frerichs, of To Kuiti, is at the Station Hotel. Mrs. J. Tatham, Homewood, Wharenmn, is visiting Auckland, Miss .T. .McClatcbie, who has been visiting Auckland, returned to Christchurch on Saturday. The Plunket Society's "Covent Garden" ball, held in Wellington recently, resulted in a net profit of £520. Mrs. Gladys Samson, who has been the guest of Mrs. S. F. Mountain, North Auckland, has returned to Waiwcra. Miss Phyllis Robertson, of New Plymouth, who left for Sydney last week, is on her way to Brisbane, Queensland, to do research work on a cotton pest for the Egyptian Government.
