BRIDGE EVENING

OVERSEAS LEAGUE SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION An enjoyable bridge party was held on Saturday night in the Overseas League chjbrooms. Guests were welcomed on arrival by Mrs. A. E. French (convener; and Mrs. Smart. Supper was served by the following ladies of the committee:—Mrs. Schmidt, Mrs. Kelly, Mrs. Skinner, Miss Lane, Miss Hartv and Miss Hindle. Prize-winners were:—Contract, Miss Lempfert; auction, highest score, Mrs. M. Nicol, Captain Bates; hidden numbers. Mr. Ardley, Miss Spicer, Mrs. Coulthurst.
