CHESS MATCH
In a chess match played at Papatoetoe on Saturday night between teams representing the Papatootoe and Mount Kden Chess Clubs, tbo local team defeated the visitors by seven games to one. The Mount Eden team was rather weakened owing <o the illness of several of its leading players. A trophy has been presented by Mr. W. Jenkins, of the Auckland and Mount Eden Clubs, for competition among tho suburban clubs.
