MARSDEN ELECTORATE MEETING OF DELEGATES [BY TELEf! UAPH —OWN CORKESPONDENT] WHANGAREI, Thursday Delegates from the 27 branches of the National Party in the Marsden electorate assembled in Whangarei for the annual meeting of the electoral committee. Mr. A, J. Murdoch, candidate for the Marsden seat, addressed the meeting, which passed a resolution of confidence in the candidate and expressed appreciation of the work dono by the Hon. Adam Hamilton, and confidence in him as leader of the party. The following officers were elected: — Chairman, Mr. H. W. Crawford; vicechairman, Mr. R. K. Trimmer; delegate to Auckland division, Mr. D. A. Finlayson, of Maungaturoto; delegate to Auckland ladies' division, Mrs. I{. K. Trimmer, of Whangarei; executive committee, chairman and secretary of each branch.

AUCKLAND EAST COMMITTEE BKANCII DKLFG ATF.S MISIST The annual mooting of the committee of the New Zealand National Party for the Auckland Fast electorate, held last night in the party rooms, Shortland Street was attended by 54 delegates from munches in the electorate. Mr. H. S. W. King was appointed chairman, Mr. A. G. Quart ley and Mr, T. (.!. Glasgow, deputy-chairmen, and Mr. \V. A. Walsh, secretary-treasurer.

GROWTH OF MFMBFRSHIP An address, on the activities of tho National Party was given by Mr. W. 11. Hemingway at the annual meeting of the Onehunga branch of the party last night. There was a large attendance, representative of all branches of I he electorate. Ollicers appointed were: Chairman. Mr. 11. Do Woolfe; secretary and treasurer. Mr \Y. Thompson; assistant secretary. Mr F. R. Footo; delegate to the Auekland divisional committee. Mr. Maxwell Walker. The retiring chairman. Mr M Walker, commented oil the growth of tho branch member ship since its formation three months ago.
