Monastic / assumed command from Flashlight, but he refused at the fourth fence, and when they came round to the stand double Acron was just in front of Flashlight and Kahunoke, with a gap to Chile and King Mestor. Going alone the back Flashlight went to the front, with Acron and Kahunoke in close attendance. He was clear at the last fence, where he struck hard and nearly fell. Kahunoke made an effort, bat he had no chance with Flashlight, who won easily by six lengths. Chile battled on to be eight lengths away third and Acron was a poor fourth. Gaily, Hunting Blood and Rebel Mate were prominent early, Hunting Blood leading into tho straight from Gaily, Rebel Mate, Great Hope and Debham, with Maori Song, Prince Acre and Farland handy on the outside. Just after passing the false rail, Great Hope assumed the lead, but was strongly challenged by Prince Aero and Merial on tho outside, -with Gaily also holding on well. Thirty yards from tho post Princo Acre was just in front, but Matoru came fast on the inside and beat him by half a head. Merial, wide out, was a length away, third and Gaily was fourth. Next to finish were Great Hope, Rebel Mate, Debham. Essex and Catalogue, who were in close order. Time, lm 21^s.

All Irish was soon in the lead from Santoft and Erination and at the stands double the first time, ho was clear of Erination, Manawatu, Santoft, Brigadore, Clarion Call, Bryce Street, Kinkle, Red Sun and Smilin' Thru. Brigadore fell at the sod wall near the seven-furlong post and interfered with Bryce Street, whose rider was unseated. All Irish increased his lead and at the double the second time he was out 10 lengths from Erination, who was four lengths ahead of Santoft, with Smilin' Thru and Clarion Call handy. Kinkle unseated his rider at the first fence of tho double and checked Rod Sun. whose rider was also thrown out of the saddle. Turning along the back the last time, All Irish was about fivo lengths ahead of Erination, who was clear of Santoft and Clarion Call, the only others close enough to have chances. Erination ran up to All Irish five furlongs from home and led into the straight from Santoft, All Irish and Clarion Call. Erination jumped the last fence safely and won by 10 lengths from Santoft, who beat All Irish bv eight lengths. Clarion Call was several lengths away. Smilin' Thru fell at tho last fence, where Manawatu was pulled up. Time, 7m 301s.

Beau Gallante led over the first two fences, when ho was joined by Full of Scotch and Donegal. They were the leaders from Courtyard, Pango and Southern Blood and turning along tho back Full of Scotch was just in front of Beau Gallante, Donegal, Courtyard and Pango, with John Charles moving up smartly on the outside. With five furlongs to go, Courtyard was second, ahead of Donegal, John Charles, Aurora's Love and Southern Blood. Full of Scotch was four lengths clear at the straight of Courtyard, who was clear of Donegal, Aurora's Love and Spender. Courtyard drew almost level at the last fence with Full of Scotch, who did not jump too well. However, Full of Scotch had something in reserve and went away to win by five lengths from Courtyard, who defeated Spender by four lengths. Charade was several lengths away, fourth, followed by Tvilberis, Donegal, Aurora's Love, Southern Blood and John Charles. Silk Sox was pulled up, he having gone lame. Time, ''in ,'>O r |s.

Airam and Monipero were left several lengths at tlie start. Conveyer, Quadroon, Arctic King, Alunga, Ned Cuttle and Engo were prominent early. Quadroon, Ned Cuttlo and Enge were together in the lead alter going a little rnoro than a furlong, followed by Conveyer, De Friend and Alunga, with Airam running up smartly on the outside, ahead of Arctic King. En go and Quadroon were the loaders at the halfmile, Engo loading into the straight from Quadroon, Airam, Conveyer, Arctic- King and Alunga. Once in line for the post, Quadroon soon headed Engc but he was immediately challenged by Arctic King on the rails and Conveyer on tilt; outside. Arctic King gained a slight advantage .'JO yards from the post and ho held it to win by half a neck from Quadroon, who defeated Conveyer by a head. Ned Cuttlo was about two lengths away, fourth, followed by Engo, Lazybones, Monipero, De Friend and Wagner. Time, lm 545.
