Fryer statorl that he was doing exceptionally wqJI in Melbourne, he having trained 22 winners in the metropolitan area this season. He has a large string of horses and all are doing well excepting the Captain Bunsby—Vivo gelding, International, who is suffering from boils in his month. Pantoon has been added to the list. Elanage has developed into a fine stayer and Fryer states that the Posterity colt should win good races next season. The two recent winning efforts of Desert Chief did not profit the stable to any great extent, continued the trainer, for he is not a genuine galloper.
