FItANKTON QUOTATIONS FULL YARDING OF SHEEP DEMAND FOR BONER COWS [from our own connkspondf.nt] HAMILTON, Tuesday A full yarding of all classes of fat sheep came forward at the Frankton stock sales to-da.v, hut the oiforing comprised a good proportion of unfinished wethers. Generally, the market was easier for wethers, while fat ewes were sold at prices slightly in advance of last week. Fat hoggets also showed yn improvement, hut store sheep were dull of sale. A heavy yarding of all classes of cattle again canic forward, with a full entry of ox beef, which comprised li-rht to mediumweight steers. Values were fairly steady and prices remained on a par with last week. A medium offering of second cow href met with a good inquiry and values showed improvement. Boner cows met with a ready sale at prices ia advance of schedule rates. A good entry of dairy cattle met with only a lair inquiry, with values in purchasers' favour.

There was a light entry of fat pigs, comprising mostly porkers, very few baconers being offered. Competition was very spirited, priced showing an improvement on last week. A good yardiuy of store and weaner pigs came forward and competition was keen, especially tor large stores, with values well in advance of last sale. Quotations eased slightly toward the end of the sale. Values showed a slight improvement on last week's, a total clearance being made. What was the smallest yarding of cow beef seen for some years was offered to-day. However, the shortage did not affect prices appreciably, which, although up slightly oil last week's rates, did not reach the levels of earlier 6ales. MATAKOHE DISPERSAL Daliiety and Company, Limited, reports holding a clearing sale, in conjunction with the North Auckland Farmers' C'o-operative, Limited, on account of Mr. J. Sterling, of Matakohe. The stock came forward in excellent condition and the prices realised were very satisfactory, being on a par with those obtaining at clearing sales held in the North during the past month. Springing Jersey heifers, July and August calvers, made £R 5s to £0 15s; best, springing cows, £lO 10s to £l3 ss; medium, £7 10s to £f)j backward and aged. £5 to £7; pedigree Jersey cows realised up to ?V/ 3 guineas, and one pedijrrec yearling Jersey bull made the same figure. TE AWAMUTU CLEARANCE Newton King. Limited, reports a successful clearance sale on behalf of Mr. IJ. A. Grace, of Te Awnmutu. Cows in milk made .CO to £l3 10s, backward and empty cows selling at Into rates. A special offering of two-year dairy boilers on account of Mr. C. Woolston. of To liore, sold readily from £8 5s to £lO. MOUNT ISA DECISION No shipments of zino concentrates will bo made from the Mount lsa mine after August unless prices riso further. The company will make three shipments to which it is committed and will then continue to mine zinc concentrates, which are a byproduct, and will store them.
