LABOUR MEMBER'S CLAIM [BY TELEGRAPH—SPRCIAIi REPORTER} WELLINGTON, Tuesday The assertion that the Government in its election campaign had not undertaken to reduce taxation, reduce th«> exchange rate or abolish the sales tax was made by Mr. 11. E. Herring (Government —Mid-Canterbury) during tho Address-in-Reply debate in the House of Representatives to-day. Mr. Herring said that Labour candidates had presented 12 points to tl/e electors, and that none of these three points was among tho original 12. Of the ]2 points put forward, ho added, nine had now been accomplished and the other three would be before the session, closed.
