DOCTORS FOR CHINA ELECTION OF OFFICERS The successful organisation of «ft appeal for funds to send doctors and equipment, to China was the .main feature of the report presented by the chairman, Mr. T. McNab, at the annual meeting of the Auckland branch of the Red Cross Society. Mr. McNab pointed out that it was probable a reouest for more assistance would come from the Red Cross staff. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows; President, Mr. 3\ treasurer, Mr. A. R, Elder; centre committee,. Canon G- Coats, the Rev. C. Woods, Dr. A. Knight, Pr* Margaret Knight, Messrs. S. Long* stone, C. T. Paterson, G. H. Fleming, * J. W. Kendall, W. M, White, J* Prickett, Mesdames North, W. H, KeyJones, S. Austin Carr, A. Milburn,. M* E. MeComb,- J. W. Sharman, "WV .J# Johnston, A. M. Ferguson, J. 13. Macfarlane. Dray, Misses C- J. Murray and M. Patterson. A suggestion by Mr, S. Langstone that the society should take over* the care 'of tuberculosis patients, after they had .returned to their hornet from hospitals was referred to the new committee. A sub-committeo was.;appointed -to report on the =» secretary-organiser.
