PORT OF AUCKLAND MOTOR-SHIP'S FIRST VISIT The Matson liner Mariposa arrived yesterday morning from Sydney and sailed in the evening for San Francisco, via ports. She had 190 passengers for Auckland, 229 were through travellers and about 190 embarked here. Resuming her voyage from Vancouver, the Canadian Australasian liner Aorangi left late last night for Sydney, taking about 130 passengers from Auckland. On her first visit to Auckland, the M.A.N.Z. Line's new motor-ship Port Halifax arrived last evening from Montreal and anchored in the stream. WAIOTAPU REPORTS With wheat to Government charter from Williamstown, Melbourne, the Union Company's steamer Waiotapu has advised that she expects to reach Auckland at 6.30 on Friday morning. THE PORT WYNDHAM The Port Line motor-ship Port Wyndham arrived yesterday morning from Wellington and berthed at Central Wharf to complete loading for London. She is expected to sail finally, via Cape Horn, late on Friday night. PIRI FOR AUSTRALIA After receiving overhaul at Auckland the Nobel Explosives Company's auxiliary schooner Piri, at Western Viaduct, is expected to leave to-morrow for Melbourne, via Newcastle and Sydney. HORORATA'S LOADING In ballast from Liverpool, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Hororata has advised that she expects to reach Bluff at five o'clock this afternoon to begin homeward loading. REMUERA TO COMPLETE To complete loading for London, the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera will leave Wellington to-morrow for Auckland, where she is due on Friday. The Remuera is expected to clear Auckland for London, via Panama, next Tuesday. MATUA FROM ISLANDS Wireless advice from the Union Company's motor-ship Matua reports that she expects to reach Auckland from the Cook Islands at daylight on Thursday. The Matua will leave at noon on Friday for Nukualofa. Apia and Suva.
