WAIHEKE CARD EVENING

NURSING FUND ASSISTED Tho -Waiheke Aledical and Nursing Association held a successful five hundred card tournament and dance in tho Ostend hall and the dining room of the Bay Viow Boarding Hopse last week. 1 hero was an attendance of over 150 people from various parts of the island. The function was organised to raise funds toward the maintenance of a district nurso, and a substantial sum was raised. The successful card winners were:—Airs. C. A. Butler and Mr. G. E. Hill. Consolation prizes were awarded to Airs. B. Smith and Air. Wm. Hill. Dancing and competitions wore held and were won by Aliss Jean Butler and Air. P. O'Brion, Aliss June Dav and Air. A. Forrest. The supper arrangements wore in the hands of Nurso E. Tribe, Mrs. H. T. Garratt, All's. A, fteato and Airs. 15. C. Lover.
