When I spoke to her just before she sailed, she had been buying her trousseau, writes a special correspondent of tho Sunday Chronicle, "1 expect I've got one of the strangest trousseaux anybody ever bought," she told me. "It mostly consists of riding breeches, drill tunics and mosquito boots. "We became engaged last October when my fiance was in Londmi on leave, and wo are to bo married in June. Wo plan to return to London on short leave at tho end of next year." Miss Thomas had been inoculated against yellow fever, para-typhoid, smallpox and typhoid.
